School zone accidents

The speed limit for driving in a school zone is 20 mph. Drivers are required by law to stop for buses dropping off children and children traveling in crosswalks. Drivers are also required to stay at least 100 feet beyond a school bus at all times. If a driver violates these rules and causes an injury, then they are negligent "per se" and will likely be held accountable for the personal injuries they cause. If you or your child has been involved in a Massachusetts motor vehicle accident, you may be entitled to recover damages such as lost wages, medical expenses and pain and suffering.
